Jobber adds reusable library photos to quotes and requests

The October 9 desktop update connects reusable photos to quote preparation, with Plus-plan access and customer-context checks still important.

What changed

Jobber’s October 9 update says files and photos already stored in its Files and Media Library can now be added to quotes and requests. The release also describes finding media using associated customer, job, date, address or uploader information. These are vendor-described capabilities, not functions we have tested.

Who can use it

The announcement labels the update Desktop App and links availability to the Plus plan. Jobber’s help documentation describes a dedicated files/media permission. Confirm the actual plan and user permissions in your account before changing a team workflow. A reused attachment does not automatically establish permission to show one customer’s information to another.

Why HVAC sales teams may care

Our take: a commercial proposal often needs a small, relevant evidence set rather than a large photo dump. Being able to find an existing site image may reduce repeated uploading, but the account owner still needs to verify the location, capture date, approved audience and relationship to the proposed work. A reference installation should be labeled as a reference, not presented as evidence from the buyer’s property.

A narrow workflow to try

Prepare a photo manifest before using an AI assistant to draft captions. Give each approved image an identifier, intended use and supporting written observation, then check the final quote export. Do not ask the assistant to diagnose equipment or manufacture before-and-after evidence. This is an editorial workflow suggestion for the announced media feature; the October 9 release does not describe a new AI captioning or technical-inspection tool.
